In person lecture with Sat Bir Singh Khalsa

Whilst referring to research on yoga in general, he will also include information about clinical trials using Kundalini Yoga practices.
Suitable for yoga students, teachers and therapists and anyone with an interest in the possible benefits of yoga.
More information about the talk:
Yoga is an ancient behavioral practice that allows for the development of the skills of mind-body awareness or mindfulness, self-regulation of internal physiological and psychological state, and physical fitness. Yoga is becoming increasingly popular as a behavioral strategy for the promotion and maintenance of health and wellness, as preventive medicine, and also as an adjunct therapeutic intervention. This presentation will overview the scientific evidence on the underlying mechanisms of yoga practice supporting the rationale for these applications of yoga, and will describe how it can improve stress management, mental health, sleep, chronic disease prevention and symptoms, wellness, and overall quality of life.
